Our champion for this month is Andrew Douch, the Microsoft Victorian Innovative Teacher 2007 and the Microsoft Australian Innovative Teacher 2008. Andrew is a teacher at Wanganui Park Secondary College in Victoria and has 17 years experience in teaching Science.

In this section I will highlight some outstanding contributions from some extraordinary teachers in the world.

Professor Randy PauschRandy Pausch

Our inspirational teacher for the year is Randy Pausch, the professor whose Last Lecture changed millions of lives. What did Professor Randy Pausch do when asked this question:
What would you say if you knew you were going to die and had a chance to sum up everything that was most important to you?

That's the hypothetical question posed to the annual speaker of a lecture series commonly known as "The Last Lecture." But for Randy Pausch, the charismatic young professor of computer science at Carnegie Mellon University, the question wasn't hypothetical.


The 47-year-old father of three small children had been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer -- and given six months to live. Randy shares with us his inspirational story in many forms, choose from those below.

Multi media and text - Innovate and Integrate Use this template when you want to use photos and text to tell your story. Click EasyEdit, then highlight this text with your cursor and type over it with your own words: You can write as much as you want! This sample photo is easy to replace with one of your own: Click the EasyEdit button, highlight the placeholder image at left and hit "delete." Then click the "image" button in the toolbar and use the "browse" button to find the image you want to insert from your computer. It's that easy.
